Representing the interests of major short-term lenders
The Consumer Finance Association (CFA) is the principal trade association representing the interests of major short-term lending businesses operating in the UK.
CFA members are committed to responsible lending by operating to the highest standards and are keen to continue to improve the reputation of the industry through close engagement with the regulator. Indeed, by driving industry improvements and best practice the CFA paved the way for the Financial Conduct Authority’s statutory regulation which now governs the industry.
The FCA’s rules offer borrowers many and varied protections. Their short video sets out these protections in plain English so that if you are consider taking out a loan, you know what to expect from responsible, regulated short-term lenders including all of the CFA’s members.
